Hi Piers, This poem is very thought provoking. Thank you for sharing it. I look forward to showing your blog to other children I work with so they can be inspired! From Mrs Jamieson
I like both this poem and your earlier one on electricity, it's such an importnat thing, to be thinking about sustainability and the planet's future. You have expressed this and shared it well!
Piers, New Zealand is far ahead of the United States with generating energy using renewable resources. You are very fortunate to live in a country where the populace understands the importance of energy conservation. How can you spread the message to other countries like mine? Mr. C
Thanks for teaching me something new. I did not know the word 'acrostic." I guessed what it meant, but since I didn't KNOW for sure what it meant, I should find out. My motto is: I don't know. Let's find out! Thanks for giving a chance to do just that!
We live near a huge wind farm in Kansas, so all of our power comes from the wind. When I was your age, we had energy shortages, but when things got better we forgot about the problem. We delayed solving it for 30 more years. Hopefully this time we are serious about finding long term solutions to our energy needs.
What a fantastic acrostic poem! I like the last sentence about making a difference, this is very true! Well done! Miss Signal :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem and you have matched the photo well. Good to see you are a greenie.
ReplyDeleteI like your poem. It sounded just like the picture that you posted. Well done!
